Getting Baby passport step by step - problem when mother name is different in birth certificate and own passport - issue solved

 How to get Baby passport 

1.  Create login account in passport seva site.   https://www.passportindia.gov.in 

• Click on New User Registration. Fill the form details and click register. 

• Once registered select Existing User login from Home page or click below link which directly loads login page. passportindia login page

           Login with your id and password 

    2. Apply for Fresh Passport

• After login from left menu click "Apply for Fresh Passport/Re-issue of Passport". On right of page gives details of different categories of passport.
• Click on "Click here to fill the application form". Now select the options as per screenshots. 

In case of mother name is different in baby's birth certificate and own passport follow this -

1. As per law you can not change birth certificate name of mother unless you get court order. So all you need to do is to get affidavit that you have changed your name to your passport name now. It seems not logical this is how it is. 
2. Print advertisement of name change to English and local news paper along with affidavit. Make sure to carry two id proof mother's passport name. E.g. Adhaar and driving license.
3. Get the news paper copies and produce it to passport verification officer. 
4. Verification officer will again send you to application staff who will update mother's name from birth certificate name to her passport name. Keep the acknowledgement.
